Castlebar Golf Club (distance : 5 km)

Castlebar Golf Club was founded in 1910. At the time some land was rented and the game proved popular and thus the Club evolved, buying the originally rented land, plus some additional ground, graduating to an 18 hole course in 1982 and the latest evolution was the complete redesign of the 18 hole course to include 18 new USPGA specification sand-based greens. The result - Castlebar Golf Club boasts one of the finest golf courses in Ireland.

Recently redesigned and remodelled, Castlebar Golf Club offers a stern challenge to golfers of all abilities. With stunning background scenery, Castlebar Golf Club will provide the player not only with a great game of golf but also a most memorable walk with varying vistas to catch the eye.

Westport Golf Club (distance : 18 km)

Westport Golf Club is rated as one of the top golf courses in Ireland. It is recognised as a prestigious venue and has hosted both the Ladies Home Internationals in 1989 and the Irish Amateur Close Championship on three occasions, most recently in 1997.

Set in 260 acres of rolling parkland on the shores of Clew Bay, Westport is situated in the shadow of Croagh Patrick, Ireland's Holy mountain, amidst some of the most breathtaking scenery imaginable. The club has a well-earned reputation for its hospitality, warmth and friendliness to visitors.

Galway Bay Golf Club (distance : 69 km)

Set on approximately 300 acres, this championship course, host to the PGA West of Ireland Open in 1999, has been uniquely designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr to highlight and preserve the ancient sites that lie on its boundaries. Set majestically on the Atlantic Ocean with matures trees, water hazards and gently rolling landscape, the course features professionally shaped fairways and highly acclaimed putting surfaces, a true and fair test of golf.

It is a truly championship test measuring over 6, 500 yards from the back tees, with each hole providing a different challenge to the next.
